  1. Documentation is required, and.

 The following documentation must be presented at the counter in order to rent a car from Smile Rent A Car UAE:.

 

 A current passport and an Emirates ID.

 Valid driver’s license issued at least a year prior to the pick-up date.

 For clients with visit visas, a valid international driving license is required.

 Credit card in the tenant’s name for security blocking.

 The aforementioned documents must be uploaded at the time of booking creation or sent by email to Smile Rent A Car for customers who choose delivery. At least two hours before the scheduled delivery, send an email to. Ae.

 

  1. Dispatch, Extension, Return, and Exchange.

 With a maximum grace period of 29 minutes following the conclusion of the agreed-upon term, the minimum rental period is one day (24 hours). Smile Rent A Car reserves the right to impose an additional daily charge at the applicable rate, along with fees for the choices made for each day, in the event that the vehicle is returned after the grace period has expired.

 If a rental agreement extension is necessary, the customer must notify Smile Rent A Car in advance. The agreement will automatically renew and fees will be deducted from the available credit card if the customer does not return the vehicle by the deadline and does not inform Smile Rent A Car of any extension.

 This Rental Agreement is still in effect after the Renter returns the vehicle to the designated drop-off location.

 By accepting the vehicle, the renter attests that it is in the same condition as described on the vehicle check report and assumes full responsibility for any subsequent damage to or loss of the vehicle, regardless of how it happens. Until the Vehicle is returned and checked in by an authorized representative, as confirmed in writing by Smile Rent A Car, the Renter retains full responsibility for the vehicle.

 The Renter agrees to return the Vehicle at the location and by the date and time specified in the Agreement with all paperwork and accessories (such as the spare tire and toolkit) in place.

 If the Renter uses the Vehicle in breach of this Agreement or fails to pay its debts to Smile Rent A Car, Smile Rent A Car reserves the right to seize the Vehicle at any time.

 Renters are required to follow Smile Rent A Car’s out-of-hours return guidelines if they return the vehicle after the location’s business hours. Until the location reopens for business and Smile Rent A Car checks the vehicle in, the Renter is always solely responsible for it.

 The Renter is fully responsible for the Vehicle until Smile Rent A Car collects it, and in any case, the Renter must obtain a document proving that Smile Rent A Car picked up the Vehicle, even if Smile Rent A Car agreed that the Renter could return the Vehicle to a location other than the rental location or that Smile Rent A Car would pick it up.

 Smile Rent A Car is not responsible for any loss or damage to items left in the car, either during the rental period or after. This applies to the renter, any passengers, and any other parties. Throughout the duration of the contract, such property is entirely at the renter’s own risk.

 If the rented vehicle needs maintenance, is being exchanged for a new one, is involved in an accident, etc., a replacement may be necessary. In this situation, the Renter is obligated to return the vehicle at Smile Rent A Car’s request. Smile Rent A Car does not promise to give the renter the same car back. Due to the late return, Smile Rent A Car might be liable for financial obligations as well as damage to the vehicle if the service intervals are not met. Such expenses shall be entirely borne by the Renter.

 Smile Rent A Car may permit an upgrade for brief use only if the Renter’s requested vehicle is not readily available. Smile Rent A Car will get in touch with the renter to arrange an exchange as soon as the vehicle in the renter’s charge group becomes available; in this case, the renter must return the vehicle as soon as Smile Rent A Car requests it. It will take three tries to exchange. If all efforts fail, the renter will be responsible for the upgraded vehicle’s cost starting on the day the car in their charge group became available.

 Monthly contracts that are terminated too soon will have a higher rate. This is determined using the rates that apply to the actual days that were used.

 Smile Rent A Car reserves the right to: if the Renter fails to return the vehicle by the anticipated check-in date, if payments are not made by the due date, or if the vehicle is used in a manner that is against the terms of the rental agreement.

 Inform the police that the car is stolen.

 Repossess and seize the vehicle without giving the Renter prior notice.

 In order to collect the unpaid balance, file a police report against the Renter/Payer.

 Charge the renter any additional fees, such as recovery fees, damages, etc., as well as a 2% late fee on any unpaid installments. Until full payment is received.

  1. Personal information.

 The Renter grants Smile Rent A Car permission to share the Renter’s personal information with relevant authorities, including the police, traffic enforcement agencies, criminal investigation departments, and other bodies.

 

  1. Rates and modification:.

 If any changes are made to the reservation after the date of the reservation confirmation, the rates may change.

 

 Renter acknowledges that Smile Rent A Car reserves the right to adjust rates in the event that Renter wishes to change the original rental period, whether by adding or subtracting rental days.

 

  1. Use Restrictions.

 The Vehicle must be carefully taken care of by the Renter. Particularly, it MUST NOT BE USED:.

 

 Except for trucks and vans after obtaining Smile Rent A Car’s prior written consent, to transport persons, their property, or property for hire.

 To transport more people than the vehicle was designed to carry.

 To transport anything that might damage the vehicle or make it impossible for Smile Rent A Car to rent it again due to its condition or smell.

 Any vehicle, trailer, or other object to be propelled or towed.

 In any competition, test, or unlawful goal.

 For leaving an asphalted road.

 While the renter or another driver is impaired by alcohol, hallucinogenic drugs, narcotics, barbiturates, or any other substance that affects consciousness or reflexes.

 Any accepted customs, traffic laws, or other legal restrictions.

 By anyone other than the Renter, unless the Renter has designated that person as the additional driver (as specified in the Agreement) and has informed Smile Rent A Car of the assignment.

 In order to sublet.

 Outside of the nation, unless with Smile Rent A Car’s prior approval and after the Renter has submitted all necessary documentation; or.

 In regions that Smile Rent A Car has designated as restricted and has notified (or will notify).

 The Renter agrees to (i) assume all risks and liabilities, (ii) pay all costs and expenses, and (iii) hold Smile Rent A Car harmless from any and all losses incurred by Smile Rent A Car and/or any damages to the Vehicle as a result of the Renter’s violation of any of the aforementioned terms of use under this clause no.  4.

 

  1. Insurance Plan.

 Smile Rent A Car offers standard automobile liability insurance to anyone operating a vehicle.

 

 But after paying the appropriate premium or rate as outlined above in this Agreement and as agreed upon with Smile Rent A Car, the Renter may choose to purchase a higher level of insurance coverage. In this scenario, the Renter must obtain a signed copy of the terms and conditions of any extended insurance or have the extended insurance explicitly mentioned on the above of this Agreement (if it is greater than the standard insurance coverage mentioned above), failing which no additional insurance will be taken into consideration.

 

 The renter accepts responsibility for any losses or damage to the vehicle, its components, and its accessories in the event that the “Collision Damage Waiver” (CDW) is chosen. This is capped at the non-waivable and non-refundable excess liability amount listed on the above page of this Agreement. The Renter must also give Smile Rent A Car a legitimate accident report from the police (or another appropriate authority). If not, the Renter will be responsible for paying all costs and expenses associated with restoring and delivering the Vehicle to Smile Rent A Car in the same condition that it was received.

 If the Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) is chosen, the Renter agrees to take advantage of it by paying the equivalent premium in advance as specified on the Rental Agreement. If a legitimate Police Report is provided and the insurance company covers the loss or damage, the Renter is released from responsibility for the vehicle’s loss or damage, as well as any damage to its components or accessories (other than theft-related damage). The Renter understands that any coverage is void in the absence of a definitive Police Report.

 The renter accepts the optional Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) by paying the daily premium specified (as agreed upon with Smile Rent A Car and stated in the above of this Agreement), which insurance will cover the renter and passengers’ medical expenses and accidental death in the event of an accident during the rental in accordance with Smile Rent A Car’s Motor Vehicle Policy.

 If additional insurance is bought for vehicle use outside the UAE, it will only cover damage claims and won’t pay for any other costs incurred. Upon delivery of all necessary supporting documentation for the claim, insurance becomes effective.

  1. Loss/Damage, theft, etc.

 Regardless of driver negligence, the renter is responsible for paying Smile Rent A Car the full amount of all resulting losses and expenses (including but not limited to replacement or recovery costs, repair costs, compensation for the decline in value and loss of the rental fee) if the renter/driver broke any of the provisions of these terms and conditions, any rules, or customs/insurance regulations.

 Any damage to the vehicle, especially if it happened as a result of negligence, is entirely the renter’s fault.
